Get involved
Your time and energy can help bring the magic of nature into the lives of children. Whether you’re planting, weeding, harvesting, or just willing to help, there are many ways to get involved.

Volunteering with us

Help us nurture a beautiful community space
Go Flourish gardens are not only for the benefit of the children, they are also beautiful spaces for the wider community to enjoy, nurture and share. Have a look at the upcoming volunteer help needed at North Kessock primary school garden from Spring 2025 to see how you can get involved.

Join us as a garden volunteer
Depending on the time of year, we need help with planting, growing, weeding, watering, harvesting, garden admin tasks, general maintenance and garden development. The garden especially needs help over the school holidays.
This is a community space and so we are keen to hear your ideas on what you’d like to see happening in the garden when it comes to sharing skills, workshops and community events.
Gardening knowledge is a bonus, but what is most important is enthusiasm and there are many skills that will come in handy in the garden.
Please get in touch with lyn@goflourishcharity.org if you’d like to find out more. We’d love to hear from you.

Join us as a Volunteer Outdoor Teaching Assistant
Do you like working with children and enjoy being outside? We are looking for some help with our outdoor teaching sessions at North Kessock Primary School.
The classes are taught by Laura, the Go Flourish Liaison Teacher and support curriculum learning. Having some extra help will allow the classes to be split into smaller groups, which will help to nurture the children’s time spent hands-on gardening.
Gardening knowledge isn’t essential as all instructions will be given by Laura. Enthusiasm, patience and an ability to work as part of a team are key for this role.
As this volunteer role involves working with children in schools, we will need to carry out a PVG Disclosure Scotland check. There is no fee attached but we will need to work with you to gather the necessary information and ID’s etc before starting.
Please get in touch with lyn@goflourishcharity.org
if you’d like to find out more.

Be part of the change and help us nurture the future generation
With your support, we can bring the life-changing benefits of outdoor learning and gardening to even more children.
